Na Yäph Ckez (/na/ /jəf/ [social] [miracle]) is a subtropical Town located in Krfíhi̊qājíhg County, Gandlacckÿrf Kingdom, within the United Kingdom of Undermountain.

The name Na Yäph Ckez is derived from the Dwarven language, as Na Yäph Ckez was founded by Ré̄shī Ré̄r 'Lexi Eva' Mp̪f̄nḱ Yoīsh Cú̄boī Åxruqedrayd, who was culturaly Dwarvern.

Climate

Na Yäph Ckez has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Na Yäph Ckez receives an average of 182 cm/y (71 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Na Yäph Ckez was founded durring the late 12th century in fall of the year 1069, by Ré̄shī Ré̄r 'Lexi Eva' Mp̪f̄nḱ Yoīsh Cú̄boī Åxruqedrayd. The establishment of Na Yäph Ckez was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Na Yäph Ckez's construction back out of the project. Ré̄shī Ré̄r 'Lexi Eva' Mp̪f̄nḱ Yoīsh Cú̄boī Åxruqedrayd pushed on reguardles, and Na Yäph Ckez was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Na Yäph Ckez was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Na Yäph Ckez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Na Yäph Ckez is buildings folow an organic layout of spacious baked earthen streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Na Yäph Ckez has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Na Yäph Ckez long.

Na Yäph Ckez possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Na Yäph Ckez has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Na Yäph Ckez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Na Yäph Ckez's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is skipped in Na Yäph Ckez.
